URGENT CARE FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

No Bounds HELP PATROL

Our HELP PATROL provides crisis intervention services for adults experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The HELP PATROL emphasizes individual safety and harm reduction to mitigate potential harms associated with severe mental illness, including overdoses, injuries, and unnecessary interactions with the criminal justice system. Additionally, we offer mental health support and access to a stabilization safehouse to ensure the well-being of those in need.

Process Upon Arrival and Services Offered

A stabilization specialist will provide immediate, community-based crisis intervention services for individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, or developmental disability crises. Staff will stabilize the situation, assess the individual's needs, and connect them with appropriate resources and support, often in the stabilization safehouse or other community settings. The patient will receive mental health support from a multidisciplinary team, including clinicians and stabilization specialists that operate 24/7. The patient can settle into a chair or bed in a comfortable, quiet setting to begin stabilization. Staff will perform a comprehensive behavioral health assessment. Additionally, staff will provide the patient with food or snacks, access to restrooms and showers, laundry services, and other supports. During the stay, the patient will have the opportunity to meet with our multidisciplinary team of care coordinators and case managers (individuals with lived substance use experience) and clinicians to discuss recovery, specific goals and needs, and linkages to services upon discharge.

Immediate Response:

Our crisis intervention services provide rapid, on-site mental health support during a crisis, ensuring individuals have access to a stabilization safehouse when needed.

Community-Based:

Crisis intervention services occur in the individual's natural environment, rather than in a hospital or clinic, providing essential mental health support in a more familiar setting, such as a stabilization safehouse.

Comprehensive Assessment:

Our teams provide crisis intervention services by evaluating the individual's situation, including mental health support, safety risks, and immediate needs, often utilizing resources such as a stabilization safehouse.

Crisis Stabilization:

The goal is to de-escalate the crisis using effective crisis intervention services, connect the individual with essential mental health support, and prevent further escalation by utilizing a stabilization safehouse.

Referral and Linkage:

Our teams connect individuals with ongoing mental health support, including crisis intervention services, therapy, medication management, or other resources as needed, such as a stabilization safehouse.
